Holiday Heights Elementary School

Students at Holiday Heights get to climb treehouses, observe butterflies and learn about gardens!

"As a child, onehas  that magical capacity to move among themanyer  as of the earth; to see the land as an animal does; to experience the sky from the perspective of a flower or a bee; to feel the earth quiver and breathe beneath us; to know a hundred different smells of mud and listen unselfconsciously to the soughing of the trees." ~ Valerie Andrews

Nancy Payne, the owner of Habitat Landscapes, designed the beautiful school garden for Holiday Heights Elementary School while working with  REAL School Gardens.  The REAL School Gardens program works with schools and sponsors to establish outdoor learning classrooms for children.  They offer training for teachers and provide incredible opportunities for children to learn and grow through real experiences with nature.  Check out this lovely school garden from design to completion.
