Children reap the benefits of school gardens!Garden being built by students, teachers and volunteers at Medrano School

"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly." ~ R. Buckminster Fuller

Habitat-Landscapes will work with your school to create habitat gardens that can be used as outdoor learning classrooms and beautiful gathering places for your school community.  Research shows that children are more engaged in learning and truly benefit from hands-on outdoor instruction.  The children tend to be happier and healthier and establish good lifelong habits.  The gardens reduce stress levels, promote team building and probleme solving and can increase children's self-esteem.  Children become interested in improving the environment around them.

School gardens have also proven to increase the effectiveness of teachers.  It is as beneficial for the teachers as it is for the children to be able to experience nature and share the wonder with their students.
